the scriptures

We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God, His Revelation to man, inerrant in its original writing, therefore, the final and supreme authority in matters of faith and life.
- 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21

The trinity

We believe that God is Triune, one God, eternally, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- Matthew 28:18

The lord jesus christ

We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His Virgin Birth, His sinless life, His substitutionary death on the Cross for our sins, His bodily resurrection from the grave, His ascension into Heaven, His millennial return for His Church and to judge the living nations.
- John 1:1-19; 1 Timothy 3:16; 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 4:13-18; Titus 2:11-14

the holy spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Person; that He came into the Church on the day of Pentecost; that He convicts the world of sin through the believer as a witness; that He regenerates the sinner by the preached Word; that He indwells, enlightens, instructs, and guides the child of God.
- John 16:7-15

Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are totally depraved and must be spiritually born again to be accepted of God.
- Romans 3:10-20; John 3:1-21

Salvation

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a Representative and Substitutionary Sacrifice and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood; that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, are born again by the Holy Spirit, and thereby become the children of God; that salvation is wholly of grace through faith and wholly apart from human merit; that men, who by birth and choice are sinners, must exercise faith in Christ's redeeming work on the Cross.
- John 3:1-21; Romans 5

Satan

We believe in the reality and personality of Satan; that he formerly occupied the position of a special angel; that he fell through pride and is presently the god of this age; that he will finally be judged and cast into the Lake of Fire forever.
- Isaiah 14:12-17; 2 Corinthians 4:3-4; Revelation 20:10

Heaven and Hell

We believe in a Heaven of everlasting conscious blessedness for all who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and in a Hell and Lake of Fire of everlasting conscious punishment of all who reject Christ as their personal Savior.
- John 14:1-6; Philippians 3:20; Psalm 9:7; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9; Revelation 20:10

The Church

We believe that individual believers are made members of the body of Christ, which is the true Church and that the local New Testament church is a voluntary association of believers, organized for worship, work, and fellowship, equal in rank and privilege, subject to the Word of God, and independent of any external ecclesiastical control whatsoever.
- Matthew 16:16-18; 1 Corinthians 12:12-31; Ephesians 4:1-16

The ordinances of the church

We believe that the two ordinances of the church which we are commanded to observe are baptism and the Lord's Supper; that these ordinances have no saving merit but that after one is born again, baptism is the next step to show the world that we are now identified with Christ who died, was buried, and rose again; that whereas baptism is observed once, and is a sign of identification and a testimony to newness of life, the Lord's Supper is commemorative and is to be observed often as a memorial to the broken body and shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:9-13; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
